A freelancer on Upwork is self-employed, may juggle multiple clients, and charges by the hour with platform commissions added on top. SKEPICK Global Services provides a full-time, dedicated person working exclusively for you — employed under Indian law, managed daily by our operations team, and accountable to a written SLA. You get the reliability of an employee with none of the HR, payroll, or compliance overhead. And you pay a fixed monthly rate, not an unpredictable hourly bill.
No. SKEPICK employs your resource legally in India under our own entity using the Employer of Record (EOR) model. You never need to register a company in India, open an Indian bank account, or deal with Indian payroll regulations. We handle all of that on your behalf. You receive one clean USD invoice every month.
For a single-hire EOR engagement, typically 2–14 days from the date of signed agreement. Day 1–2: proposal and agreement. Day 3–7: candidate shortlisting and your approval. Day 7–14: your person is placed, onboarded to your workflow, and delivering. The timeline depends on how specific your role requirements are — simpler roles move faster.
We replace them. Replacement support is included in the SKEPICK managed model — it is not an extra fee. If your dedicated resource underperforms, leaves, or is otherwise unavailable, SKEPICK initiates a replacement process immediately. You do not go back to square one, re-post a job, or restart a hiring process. This is one of the core reasons the managed model exists — you get continuity of output, not a one-time placement.
You direct the work. SKEPICK manages the person. You tell them what to do, what to produce, and when. SKEPICK monitors their attendance, tracks performance against agreed metrics, conducts quality checks, and handles all HR and payroll matters. Think of it this way: they work for you operationally, but SKEPICK is their employer and operations manager. You get output — without the management burden.
Your hours — or as close to them as practically possible given the India time zone. For US-based clients, this typically means an overlap of 4–6 hours during the US morning (which is India evening). For UK clients, the overlap is more natural. For Australian clients, the IST timezone aligns well with AEST/AEDT mornings. Specific working hours are confirmed in the written proposal before engagement begins.
The standard first engagement is a 90-day paid pilot with a 30-day exit clause built in. This means you can exit with 30 days' written notice at any point during or after the pilot — no penalties, no lock-in fees. After the 90-day pilot, if you want to continue, engagement moves to a rolling monthly arrangement with the same 30-day notice period.
The most commonly placed roles through the Start Small model are: Media Monitoring Analyst, Closed Captioning and Localization Analyst, Research and Insights Analyst, Congressional and Policy Monitor, and Content Operations Coordinator. If your requirement is different, tell us what the person needs to do — we will assess fit and revert within 24 hours.
